The OC Mining Company is so nostalgic for me! It's definitely not what it used to be before covid, but still good. Don't expect top quality food here - we mostly come for the soup/salad bar, the cheesy bread, and the views. I think the entrees can be hit/miss depending on the day, but this visit my husband's ribeye was 10/10 and cooked perfectly.

I drive by this place all the time. The little booth structure at the corner of Chapman/ Crawford Cyn used to be cute with writing on it about Miners Hours, etc and a spotlight on it at night. Then a few years ago they did something with the little roof and it became very plain. Now I've noticed it's even more plain and uneventful. I'm hoping they plan on jazzing up the booth again. It looks very sad and plain currently.

THREE POINTS for the 1970s underground mine theme, one more point for the amazing views. The food is fine, good, not life changing. Amazingly intact vintage theme restaurant not far from Disneyland. In fact you can watch the fireworks show through the huge picture windows that we enjoyed the sunset through. Lavish and luxe and fun.

So we went to the Orange County Mining Company after other people told us how good it is and I was very impressed with the quality of the food and the service on the dinner side of the restaurant. We sat for about 5 minutes on the bar side looking at the Happy Hour menu and after being totally ignored and it wasn't busy so we went over to the dinner side and im really happy we did cause dinner was excellent. Our server was awesome. Prices are high bit the food is very good quality and they dont skimp.

Took my mom and the gang for Mother's Day. As always a nice spot. Service was good. I got the new York steak and had some ribs. The salad bar was good but they change the location so it's abit crowded. Also the guy refilling the item was not very professional in the way he filled it no concern for spilling and wiping and cut in front of the folks that were waiting. When I asked for soup spoon he gave me a regular spoon. They need to teach these young new workers how to eat or what to do other than that all good

Overall my experience at the Orange County Mining. Company was enjoyable. My only con was trying to get reservations. Trying to make reservations for a party of 11 needs to be easier! I called twice and no answer so tried online but we needed to call since our party was large but when I called for the 3rd time it said I had exceeded the number of calls I could make . So my aunt had to try and call and make the reservations. The valet ($8)- the young men were working hard and running back and forth but I wish there were more Kennedy and Mark were our servers- great energy, friendly and helpful and came back and made sure we had enough water and how was our food and d drinks and got our boxes when needed. And also let us give them different cards to put towards the check which I know most places don't do. I got the filet mignon and garlic mashed potatoes ($45). The filet mignon was cooked medium well and so tender and flavorful. The hubby got prime rib and garlic mashed potatoes($44)-all the entrees come with salad and soup bar. The salad and soup bar had 2 soups and chili and a nice size salad bar with toppings and salad dressing choices and some fruit and pasta salad options. We ordered some appetizers which were calamari, coconut shrimp, cocktail shrimp and artichoke dip.($14-16 each) and the perfect size for about 4 people to have at least one. We were celebrating my in laws anniversary and were able to bring in a cake for dessert which was nice. They even rang the bell and shouted out a happy anniversary for them! And Mark to our family picture for us.
